Jevole Coffee Alicante: A Dog-Friendly Café Worth Finding

Tucked away at C. José Gutiérrez Petén, 29, Jevole Coffee is one of the most charming dog-friendly cafés in Alicante. It’s also hard to file under “café”. Part gallery, part living room, part travel diary, it’s a place to linger rather than grab and go.

What is Jevole Coffee like inside?

From the moment you step in, you can tell this space comes from someone’s passion, travels and eye for detail. Every corner feels intentional, like a small museum of warmth and nostalgia.

Instead of chandeliers and gold, you’ll find vintage treasures: snow globes, framed sheet music, family photographs, old frames and worn suitcases that double as decor. Quirky quotes on the walls seem to speak directly to you. Photos online hint at the atmosphere, but they don’t capture how soulful it feels in person.

Seating ranges from snug sofas to wide communal tables, like the living room of an old family home. I could easily have stayed all afternoon, and nearly did. The sofa was dangerously comfortable.

Food and drinks at Jevole Coffee

The menu has the same care and creativity as the decor.

Cocktails. I tried the mojito and the seasonal spritz, which is made with limoncello instead of Aperol. Both came in large wine glasses and were fresh and vibrant. The limoncello version tasted like summer in a glass, with a citrus brightness that took me straight to an Italian lemon grove.

Toasts. Both were served on wooden boards and garnished with flowers:

  • Mozzarella and jamón on a bed of rocket, scattered with seeds and drizzled with olive oil
  • Avocado, salmon and egg

Dessert. I was already full, but the chocolate brownie with whipped cream and sauce was impossible to resist. It didn’t last long.

Is Jevole Coffee dog friendly?

Yes, and it goes well beyond tolerating dogs. On my visit, Dora the dog joined our table and was treated like a VIP. The staff brought her water in a bowl with her name written on it, plus treats, with obvious affection.

It’s a small touch, but it says a lot about the place. It’s also a long way from some coffee shops back in the UK, where they can’t even spell your name on a takeaway cup.

dogs are not allowed on sofas, but they are very pampered by the staff.

The atmosphere

Everything at Jevole is designed to make people feel they belong. The room was full of laughter, relaxed smiles and the hum of people enjoying themselves. We felt like part of the family, as if we’d been regulars for years.

How to get to Jevole Coffee

Jevole is a practical stop for visitors, close to Alicante’s main shopping district and Santa Bárbara Castle. It works well as a mid-day break, a post-sightseeing treat or a quiet afternoon away from the busier streets.
